Soundshrooms was a multi-sensorial sonic art installation made for Sideways music festival in June 2022. The installation consisted of soft and squishy instruments, which could be played by the festival visitor with different bodily interactions. When played simultaneously the objects created a playful but enchanting midsummer soundscape.

The poster design was inspired by electronic graphics and visual patterns formed by audio frequencies. The final artwork is a mix of hand-drawn and 3d-modeled objects.

The installation was created by Softislab together with media artist Kiko Chen and designer Sofia Guridi. Sound design was made by Alex Jilkin.
